Our Construction Impact
Transforming Spaces, Enhancing Communities
Discover some of our most notable projects that showcase our commitment to enhancing the urban landscape of Detroit through our Construction Projects.
Boggs renovation
At Boggs Park in Detroit, our team assisted in redeveloping an underutilized space by clearing the site, laying concrete and granite pathways, and installing a basketball court with safety surfaces. We also planted new vegetation, created a rain garden, and built a natural classroom and "LogLand."
eliza howell park
At Eliza Howll Park in Detroit, we helped to improve the park by adding aggregate trails, building a wooden boardwalk, and restoring wetlands and vernal ponds. We enhanced stormwater management with an underdrain, sewer tap, and concrete spillways in a roadside rain garden, revitalizing the park.
Henry ford plaza
For the Henry Ford Health Systems project in Detroit, we repurposed an outdated space into a vibrant plaza. This included removing old materials, reshaping the site, paving new pathways, and creating a sustainable rain garden with lush plantings, sculptures, and concrete planters, providing a peaceful retreat.
Macomb community college
At Macomb Community College, we revitalized a central campus area by removing old concrete and landscaping. We then installed a new irrigation system, concrete paving with effective water drainage, and added modern site furnishings. The new landscape, featuring topsoil, sodding, and plants, transformed the space into a welcoming hub for the college community.
Riverside park
At Riverside Park in Detroit, we remediated contaminated soil, enhanced drainage, and installed new concrete walkways, steps, and curbing. We added a new asphalt parking lot, right-of-way plaza, and custom sculpture. The project also included landscaping with pavilions, benches, and irrigation, creating a vibrant, accessible waterfront destination for the community.
Spirit plaza
This project for the city of Detroit enhanced Spirit Plaza, a 20,000-square-foot civic space. We created benches, planters, and playground equipment, and installed trees, flowers, mulch, concrete, and pavement. We also added amenities and landscaping, and continue to monitor and repair the premises, transforming the area into a vibrant and functional space.
Project Evergreen
Partnering with Project Evergreen, the PGA has helped create greener, healthier spaces through landscaping and maintenance initiatives. We’ve focused on revitalizing parks, sports fields, and public spaces to ensure they remain vibrant and accessible for all.
Pierce Middle School Plaza
Our team transformed the Pierce Middle School Plaza by paving walkways for better accessibility, planting trees, flowers, and bushes for a greener atmosphere, and installing benches for seating, creating a more inviting space for learning and community engagement.
Antonio Mcduffy park
PGA’s renovation of Antonio McDuffy Park upgraded amenities and enhanced landscaping to create a vibrant community space. We installed new pavement for better walkability, built a picnic shelter, added modern irrigation systems, and planted trees, plants, and bushes to enhance the park’s natural beauty.
Bristol Park
In collaboration with the City of Detroit Parks and Recreation Division, PGA helped revitalize Bristol Park. The 3.2-acre community hub was transformed with serene walkways, an outdoor fitness area, and spaces for residents to connect with nature and each other.
